Andrea Kalvesmaki's research addresses the role of policy in shaping outcomes for students. This presentation is based on her recent published chapter on using disability rights laws to prevent the unnecessary removal of students from schools. She is a research scholar with a BA in Psychology and an MSc in Medical Anthropology. She is currently working on a doctorate of Educational Leadership and Policy, and serves as a research associate for the Utah Education Policy Center.
