Creating classrooms where all students feel safe and accepted is cruial to maximize the learning process. How do we help our teachers communicate respect and promote dignity to all when setting up their teaching environments, teaching behavioral expectations and following through with positive and corrective consequences? Many effective, positive and practical methods for behavior change will be discussed, that may be adapted to any grade level and that may be implemented immediately in the classroom. These strategies may be used with all students, in both general education and special education settings.
