Dropout prevention is at the forefront of the work of administrators, counselors, teachers, and all education professionals in secondary schools.  Over the past few years, Davis School District has worked in conjunction with partners at REL West and Microsoft Analytics to develop a data driven system of early warning indicators to identify students who need interventions.  This session will summarize the district experience, review key risk indicators identified by research and local risk indicators selected by Davis based on an examination of their own data, and provide ideas on reporting/communicating risk factors to key staff, as well as families and students themselves.
