Student with disabilities and students with medical needs are increasing with greater focus on schools providing FAPE (Free Appropriate Public Education) in a timely manner. We will present 2015-2017 case examples in Utah and guidance from Office for Civil Rights.

Jennifer Slade currently serves as Park City School District's special education director and previously served as the Equity specialist at USBE.

Momi Tu'ua currently serves as the equity specialist in Student Advocacy Services at USBE. Her experience has also come from advocating for students as a school counselor and school counseling specialist at USBE.
